I continue to exhibit my work throughout Vermont. I have only one print in the first show--a Polaroid Transfer. The photo in the show is an emulsion transfer but I have done both kinds of Polaroid transfers, always starting with an old slide from film days. If you don't know what Polaroid Transfers are, this link will take you to u-tube to watch the process.
I am really looking forward to the show to discover other alternative processes, some of which I have not even heard of.
The second show is more traditional photography although some of my work in this exhibit features my experimentation with triptychs of butterflies. The butterfly photographs were all taken at the Montreal Botanical Garden's "Butterflies Are Free" exhibit--an annual event--and one that shouldn't be missed!
Although I loved the photos in their entirety, I decided to experiment with dividing them into 'bits and pieces". I then framed them very simply with black frames, no matting. I will hang them in this show separated from each other but still together, forming a triptych. Each "bits and pieces" can be seen as a photo in its own right.
