I did not include before and after photos because the process is the same as in my explanations in previous montages.  The in-camera blur and distinct photos are combined. If you want more of an explanation, see my older posts of montage photos.

Butterfly Surprise

I was taking a macro shot of this flower bud on a tree in my yard when just as I was about to click the shutter a butterfly appeared.  Magical nature.  Actually I think it is a lowly but beautiful moth!

Here is a cropped photo--eliminating the "spots" at the top of the photo.  Which do you prefer?

By accident when I used this full photo as my screen shot the resolution was too high and only a section of it appeared.  I liked it enough to experiment with doing it myself.  Here is the original and then the section photo.  What do you think?

Tulips in the Maine Botanical Gardens

I hope to print this with some other new photos to put up at my show at Marilyn's, College Street, Burlington, Vermont.  I have sold a few photos and the walls need sprucing up!

This actually was a lot of work, especially since my computer ate the first attempt.  I got to play and play and play with filters.  Of course, I didn't actually follow the directions.  But then again what are artists and art for!

Orchid Kaleidescope Mosaic

My original macro photo of an orchid made a fine one to rotate, reverse and match up in order to produce a mosaic.  I like the colors of this image and also the weird shapes that were created. This was an easy follow the dots exercise.  The hardest part was the alignment of images.

Tilt-Shifting boats

 Tilt-shift miniature style photos are pictures of real-life scenes that are manipulated to look like model photographs or "toys."  I played around with my photo of lobster boats in New Brunswick to see if they would work in the process.  At first drawing the vertical line to obtain the blur I wanted where I wanted it took a little time.  In actuality once you achieve this, the process is really simple. I also wanted to add noise to the photo to make it look more painterly.
